We have been a beacon of light in the city of Passaic and the surrounding areas for over 135 years serving the needs of the beloved community. We pride ourselves on being a community in the church and a church in the community. Our motto is: "Transforming Lives, Strengthening Families & Empowering Communities One Word At A Time.”
OUR LEGACY
Since its inception in 1881, Bethel has been blessed by many Pastors who faithfully served the congregation and the community. During the 1970s, the church infrastructure expanded rapidly to meet the evolving needs of the church and the beloved community. Several ministries were birthed to accommodate the growth in membership and the influx of southerners migrating to the northern urban cities.
OUR PASTOR
We are honored to have the best Pastor in the First Episcopal District as our shepherd here at Bethel. She is an anointed woman of GOD who continues to share her gifts with our church. Most importantly, she brings the WORD each and every Sunday.
